We were out showing condominiums in Lakeview this weekend. Lakeview is one of the 77 community areas in Chicago. Lakeview goes from Lake Michigan to Ravenswood Ave. and from Irving Park Road to Diversey Parkway.
Lakeview is one of the most populated areas in Chicago. It is just a few miles north of downtown Chicago. There are so many attractions, restaurants, theatres, and of course you have Lake Michigan.
When you are at the lakefront you can enjoy the running and bike trails. If you enjoy sailing, you might want to check out the Chicago Yacht Club at Belmont Harbor.
The lakefront has such beautiful scenery, and along the trails are parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
Lakeview has alot of older homes and apartment buildings. However there are many newer construction homes and condominium buildings too. Whatever your style is you probably will find it in Lakeview.
So what do you do after a busy tour of condos? There is so much to do. We decided to head over to a famous bakery in Lakeview. Dinkel's.
Dinkel's Bakery has been around since 1922. That's 99 years folks.
Dinkel's is a famous place not only in Lakeview, but most Chicagoans have heard of Dinkel's.
Everything is made in their kitchen behind the storefront. You can enjoy their breads, rolls, pretzels, quiche, donuts, cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, danishes, strudels, and their famous coffee cake. And much more.
It's a nice place to visit and pick up a few items, or you can order specialty desserts for your next event. It's a great place to see, and we will be back to Dinkel's.
