We had an early morning showing in the downtown Evanston area.
Afterwards we headed to Bennison's Bakery.
Bennison’s Bakery has been a North Shore institution since 1938, earning a reputation as a high quality full line bakery with emphasis on European style pastries, cookies, and custom decorated cakes.
The Bennison Family owned and operated the bakery from 1938 to 1967.
From 1967 to the present day it is owned and operated by the Downer Family.
They have kept the same high quality and traditions of the original bakery.
They have cakes, cookies and breads. They also have coffee, teas, breakfast items, pretzels, cupcakes, sandwiches, and have a wide variety of specialty tortes and cakes.
If you are in the Evanston area, it is certainly worth checking out.
Bennison's Bakery is located at: 1000 Davis Street, at the corner of Davis and Maple. They are open 7 days a week.
