American Science & Surplus has been on the Northwest side of Chicago for over 60 years.
The past twenty five years they were located in a strip mall in Jefferson Park.
The store has just closed after 25 years. Don't worry though, they are re-opening tomorrow in Park Ridge.
We have visited the store many times. It was always interesting to see such a wide array of products.
They have alot of educational and science related items, but they also have some wild and crazy items too.
They sell surplus items, closeouts, inventory overruns, manufactures errors and much more.
Some of the items you can find at the store include: solar lights, robot parts, sandwich bags, microscopes, mini pillows, real sea shells, action figures, garden supplies, arts & crafts.
