The Rainbow Cone was created in 1926 by Joe Sapp.
Their signature cone consists of 5 flavors.
Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House, ( Palmer House is New York Vanilla with Cherries and Walnuts ) Pistachio, and Orange Sherbet were sliced (not scooped) into one smile-sparking cone.
This delicious and creative combination of flavors has become a Chicago favorite for almost a hundred years.
If you have a chance this summer you should try the Rainbow Cone.
Also, another Landmark place is Superdawg. Superdawg has been around for almost seventy years.
