Today we celebrate National Crayon Day. This fun holiday celebrates the creation of crayons and the joy of coloring. Drawing with crayons is fun for kids, but there are also adult coloring books so everyone can draw fabulous works of art.
The first box of Crayola Crayons was produced in 1903 as an 8 count box. These crayons were created with dry carbon black and different waxes. It sold for a nickel and contained the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, brown and black.
Have some fun and start coloring. It is very relaxing.
