We were excited to be at the grand opening of The Sugar Hole.
Located at the corner of Hamlin & Elston Ave. in the Irving Park neighborhood, The Sugar Hole is serving soft serve ice cream, and your order is taken by puppets.
You walk up to a door on Hamlin Ave, and give your order to the puppet; it will take your order, your name, and your money. A few minutes later someone comes out from the front entrance and calls your name and gives you your ice cream.
For $5 you can get a cup or cone of chocolate, vanilla or a chocolate-vanilla swirl with the option of having sprinkles.
It’s a cute concept that can be good for the neighborhood. I'm sure it will be a favorite for the kids.
The Sugar Hole will be open on the weekends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. until Labor Day.
