Monument Park in Chicago

by Cecilia Kleiner 08/03/2024

We discovered a very nice little park called Monument Park.

It's located in Edison Park.

It has a small playground for kids, park benches, lots of trees and flower beds, and a short walking path.

The main attraction is the World War I Memorial statue.

The impressive granite pillar stands tall with a limestone eagle on top that was removed from the old Cook County Courthouse before it was demolished in 1911.
